How To Have the Best New Years Eve in Boston

Spending New Years Eve in Boston and looking for a spectacular way to usher in 2018? Our professional home movers in Boston have pooled together our knowledge of the city’s best New Years Eve destinations for you, your friends, and your family.

Boston Harbor Hotel’s Winter on the Wharf

An event both kids and adults alike will love, the Winter on the Wharf event includes ice-skating, hot chocolate, cookies and intricately-carved ice sculptures from 1 PM to 4 PM. It’s the perfect event to ease into the rest of the night’s festivities.

First Night Boston

Since 1976, First Night Boston is a city-wide event that kicks off at Noon with a parade on Boylston Street. Stop by the Common or Copley Square to witness musical performances, as well as walk the harbor area to view ice sculptures. Later in the evening a huge fireworks display can be seen over the harbor. Think it’s over? Not quite! On New Years Day there’s a First Day Run/Walk in the Common!

Feast Around Boston

If the weather outside is too frightful, then heading to Chef Barbara Lynch’s Relais & Chateaux-awarded restaurant, Menton, is the place to go. On New Years Eve, the place serves up a delicious multi-course meal. The best part about heading to Menton is their themed New Years Eve event, such as 1920’s or Casino Royale.

Other notable eateries with fine dining and New Years Eve specials include Bastille Kitchen, Legal Harborside, STRIP by Strega and Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental.

Head to Boston Ballet

Nothing is more iconic and memorable than seeing The Nutcracker at the Boston Ballet with the family. At 7:30 PM, head to the Boston Opera House for the two hour show that will have you out before midnight so you still have time to head to a bar or restaurant afterward.
