Finding a Home

There are a lot of real estate apps out there. Many of them are extremely helpful when you want an easy way to see what inventory is available in your area, what price it is listed at, and what the comparables are in the neighborhood. One of our favorites is Zillow since it is nationwide and can provide assistance throughout each of the stages of your home or apartment search.

Decluttering and want to donate some great items such as old clothes and home goods? There’s an app for that.

A new partnership between Goodwill and Roadie Inc. is making it easier for people to donate clothes and furniture to sporting goods and old toys. App-based community Roadie will pick up unwanted items and take them to the nearest donation center.

Letgo is another free app for selling and buying in your community, similar to Facebook Marketplace. You can take and post photos of your stuff, upload it, and quickly get in touch with interested local buyers. It’s also a great place to shop for items for your new home.

MoveAdvisor is a comprehensive moving app allowing you to take inventory of rooms in your current home, create an interactive timeline, and input calendar reminders for everyone in your family. Google Keep and Google Calendars can also keep everyone in your family “in-the-know” about what deadlines are looming.

If you need small handyman tasks done around the house like patching holes or cleaning out the garage before moving day check out TaskRabbit which can match you with freelance labor for projects of all shapes and sizes.

Do a little research of your own or ask our team here at Mastodon Moving about how we can point you in the right direction to find the apps that can help you make moving day a breeze.
